Bruno entered the DJ world during 1999 by joining the Entertainments crew at Heriot-Watt University where he studied Computer Science. He played many student nights at the University alongside acts such as Lost Witness and Brandon Block. Promoters soon noticed his talent on the turntables and he was asked to open the Heriot-Watt leg of the Euphoria Live Tour. During the summer of 2000 Bruno played downstairs at The City Café for the weekly Pre-Taste club, Touch, which provided a nice bit of local exposure for him.
Bruno reached the Scottish finals of the Daily Telegraph/Vestax DJ competition in 2000 and 2001 and was later asked to judge the same competition the following year. His big break came when in 2001 when he was asked to be a resident at the newly formed Majestica. During his time at Majestica he played nights with legendary DJs like James Holden, Lucien Foort, Max Graham, Futureshock and Trisco – to name but a few. He also continued to play at many other nights such as the legendary Taste, Exposure (Glasgow), Club Together I & II, Soo Delcicious, Saturn and Shhhhhhh! He then went on to play at at a variety of nights such as Karnival, Freqbeat, Slashdot, Beatroot, Split, Headway (Dundee), Unlock the House, MON.O, Dirt, Az-Tech Presents and more.
Now a proud resident of Split and Compakt (which he now co-promotes) , keep an eye out for guest slots at a variety of nights in the following months including the launch of Elementary at Cabaret Voltaire (supporting Tony Jarvis of Sugarbeat and Toolroom fame).
You can also catch him playing a more house orientated set at his monthly slot (last Saturday of the month) at The Wash Bar on the mound.
2010 also seen the release of his Brain Switch EP and remix of Romart’s IdBehold both released on Modifi Recordings – check them out on all the major download sites.
